MTN Zambia Launches AMAVIP service in partnership with Kirusa

New Providence, New Jersey and Lusaka, Zambia, Monday, 1st February 2016:Zambia’s fastest growing telecommunications company, MTN Zambia, has launched a popular social media service in partnership with Kirusa, the leader in voice and social media solutions for mobile users in emerging markets.

The AMAVIP service is one of the popular social media services offered by Kirusa that gives celebrities and their fans an opportunity to interact with each other in a more personal way.

The service enables celebrities and their fans to record and access voice blogs anytime and anywhere. It is the easiest way to connect with notable personalities ranging from movies, music, politics, sports and media.

Telecom and Internet pioneer, Francis Ebuehi, joins Kirusa’s Advisory Board

New Providence, NJ, and Lagos, Nigeria, Monday, 11 July 2016 : Kirusa, a global leader in telecom and social media solutions, today announced the appointment of Francis Ebuehi to its advisory board. Francis is currently heading Classifieds and Franchise Business for the e-commerce division of Econet Wireless International, a privately held telecommunications group. He is also the founding partner of Tenth Code Media Limited, a technology media company in Nigeria.

Prior to co-founding Tenth Code Media Limited Nigeria, he was Vice President in charge of Value Added Services at Airtel Nigeria, COO of Spinlet, and CEO of ChamsSwitch Limited. Earlier in his career, Francis worked with Accenture and Oceanic Bank.

Telecom visionary, Zunaid Bulbulia, joins Kirusa’s Advisory Board

Founding member and Former GCOE of MTN group to advise Kirusa on its Africa expansion

New Providence, NJ, and Lagos, Nigeria, Tuesday 4th October 2016: Kirusa, a global leader in telecom and social media solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Zunaid Bulbulia to its advisory board.

Zunaid, one of the founding members of the MTN Group, has over 22 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. As CEO of MTN South Africa and Group Chief Operations Executive (GCOE) for the MTN Group, he bolstered the group’s competitive position in its markets in Africa and the Middle East. He is currently the non-executive Director of the Huge group and a member of the company’s audit committee.

Zunaid says, “The growth in the use of the Internet-enabled smartphones in Africa will be enormous over the next decade. The fact that operators are rolling out high-speed fiber-optic networks creates the ideal ecosystem for this growth.
